TX Gov. Abbott Designates Mexican Cartels As Terrorist Organizations

Mexican cartels are being designated as terrorist organizations in Texas.

Governor Greg Abbott issued an executive order to make the designation, stating that Texans are falling victim to fentanyl being produced by the cartels.

The governor added that more Americans died from fentanyl poisoning in the past year than in global terrorist attacks over the past 100 years.

Abbott is directing Texas DPS to take "immediate action" against the cartels and the Texas gangs that support them.
