Over the Fourth of July weekend, police officers in Tempe, Arizona, came through with an unexpected delivery for one Grubhub customer. The Tempe Police Department (TPD) recently released bodycam footage showing officers arresting a Grubhub driver who had been on his way to deliver a Little Caesars Pizza. After noticing the delivery route on the driver’s phone, officers decided to complete the delivery themselves.
A pair of TPD officers brought the pizza to a surprised customer and shared the news in a lighthearted way. "Your Grubhub guy got arrested, so still delivered your pizza," one officer says, while the other adds that the pizza "still should be warm." The customer expressed gratitude, saying, "I really appreciate the pizza."
The Tempe Police Department later posted about the event on social media, saying, “The order was Hot-N-Ready, and the suspect was Caught-N-Steady.” They share that they’re dedicated to serving the community 24/7, whether it’s about safety or pizza.
