A group of good Samaritans recently helped save a mother and her two small children from an attempted kidnapping outside a DMV office in Jacksonville, Florida. Witnesses saw a man trying to drive away in an SUV while dragging the woman and one child across the parking lot. Bystanders quickly intervened, rescuing the woman, her two-year-old, and her six-month-old from the moving vehicle.

More than a dozen people rushed to the family's aid without hesitation, pulling them to safety as the suspect fled the scene. Witnesses provided authorities with the suspect’s description and the vehicle’s license plate, helping officers locate and arrest him later that day at a nearby shopping center. The suspect now faces multiple felony charges.

Deputies are praising the quick actions and bravery of the bystanders, crediting them with preventing a serious tragedy. In a social media post, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office writes, "Your JSO is grateful for the quick action and bravery of the Good Samaritans who stepped up and helped bring the suspect to justice."
