1 Student Killed, 2 Wounded In Stabbing Outside High School

A tragic incident unfolded outside Santa Ana High School in Southern California on Wednesday (May 7), where a stabbing left one student dead and two others injured. The attack occurred around 3:25 p.m., shortly after school dismissal. According to police, the incident appears to be gang-related.

The deceased victim, a 14-year-old freshman, was transported to a local hospital where he later died. Two other students, aged 15 and 17, were also injured and remain hospitalized in stable condition. Police are investigating the involvement of gangs, as all parties, including the suspects and victims, are believed to be affiliated with them.

Two male students, aged 15 and 17, turned themselves in to the police overnight, accompanied by their parents. They are currently in custody, although it is not yet confirmed if arrests have been made.

The Santa Ana Unified School District expressed their condolences, stating, "Our thoughts are with the family of the student who passed, and with all those impacted by this senseless act of violence." In response to the incident, the district announced an increased police presence around the school and made crisis counselors available for students.

The Santa Ana Police Department continues to investigate the stabbing, and the community is urged to remain vigilant. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact local authorities.
