A 21-year-old man, Trevor Bady, has been charged with the murder of 15-year-old Alianah Dickey in Lowell, Massachusetts. The incident occurred late Thursday or early Friday, just hours before Dickey's eighth-grade graduation ceremony.

Bady, a resident of Tewksbury, was arrested on Monday and is facing charges including murder, armed home invasion, using a firearm while committing a felony, unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building.

According to Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan, Dickey and Bady had been in a relationship, and Dickey had reported that Bady had been abusive. On the night of the incident, a 911 call was made reporting a male and female fighting, with the female screaming, "Get off me, get away from me, I don't want to be with you anymore." Gunshots were also reported.

Dickey was found deceased in a Lawrence Street apartment by her grandmother, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Bady was later found in a Peabody home and arrested without incident. He is due to appear in Lowell District Court on Tuesday.
