Victoria Beckham Recalls Exact Moment She Knew She Had To Leave Spice Girls

The Spice Girls will forever be Mel B, Mel C, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham, but the latter recently wrote a feature for British Vogue, detailing the exact moment she knew she had to leave the pop collective.

In a letter addressed to her future self, which was published on Monday (January 11), Beckham, 46, spoke about her fashion empire, but touched on the reality of her singing career. "Remember years ago, watching your dear friend Elton John on stage in Las Vegas. He performed ‘Tiny Dancer,’ as if it were the first time, and you realized this was like oxygen for him. It was a life-changing moment — while singing and dancing was fun for you, it wasn’t your passion," she wrote in the note.

"That day, you started your quest to uncover your own dreams. It was time to step away from being a Spice Girl," she continued. "For the first time, you were venturing out on your own, and it was terrifying. It was scary to close a chapter that defined you."

If you're a Spice Girls follower, you'll remember that she remained in the group until the end of 2012. However, she ended up passing on their 2016 and 2019 reunion ventures.
